On Independence Day Howard Gentry was out campaigning in Nashville. He hosted a cook out in North Nashville near TSU at Hadley Park. His team had me film a 30 Second Slot for him. He is running for Mayor. Go out and support. Howard Gentry is a Nashville native, growing up on the north side of Nashville and graduating purely from the Nashville city school system and Tennessee State University.
His campaign is about improving communities and riding them of crime. He spoke to everyone about the jail and prison rate and how it is rising in Nashville. Gentry believes that there is an alternative way of discipline and reform to help an individual to return to society and become a productive person. Jail and imprisonment only cost the Nashville tax payers dollars then the person returns only to do the same thing he or she was jailed for.
My vote will go to Howard during the election because we need an person that actually cares about and has a plan to eliminate the possibly of repeat criminal activity. This particular plan could help low income communities rise to a new income bracket, thus driving down crime in that neighborhood.
